As an adult, I’ve come to value experiences over things. I believe that introducing the concept of “experience” to realms such as education and business learning undoubtedly impacts success for both companies and employees.
I am drawn to the field of Instructional Design and Adult Learning because it offers so many possibilities in which to infuse experience into learning.
Everyone learns differently. As an Instructional Designer, I conduct analysis, create learning objectives, uncover obstacles, and create the right educational tools from a variety of media and technologies based on the most appropriate models and theories. The results are learning solutions that enable people to effectively — even joyfully — gain and retain the knowledge they need to succeed.
The benefits of Instructional design are many. When done well in business, it develops confident, motivated, productive employees who can maximize their contribution to growing, more profitable organizations.
